IFES is a nonprofit democracy development organization that works to give people a voice in the way that they are governed. Formerly the International Foundation for Election Systems, IFES is the world’s premiere election assistance organization, providing countries with the technical advice and tools they need to run democratic elections. IFES was selected through a competitive tender by the United States Agency for International Development to implement Citizens’ Awareness and Participation in Armenia Project. Primary counterparts of the project were Central Electoral Commission and National Assembly of Armenia.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provided professional support to IFES civic education instructors in 8 field offices throughout Armenia
Assisted Chief Trainer with the management and professional development of the civic education instructors
Organized and coordinated TV and radio programs on elections
Was an international observer during 2003 Presidential Elections in Armenia
